Your Marketing and Product Funnel: The Key to Online Success

One of the biggest shifts that came for me in building my own successful business was learning about – and implementing – what I call my Marketing & Product Funnel.

You know what a funnel looks like, right? It’s wide and the top and tapers down to a narrow opening. When your prospects enter your funnel through your ezine or other (usually) freebie offering, they are in the “getting to know you” level of the funnel.

Once they get to know you, like you and trust you, they likely will move down to the next level, which will include your for-fee products and services, your least expensive ones first, increasing in value and cost as they continue downwards, until they eventually get to hiring you one-on-one or to your other big ticket item. That’s basically how the funnel system of marketing works.

I see a lot of coaches and other solo service professionals offer a freebie at the top of their funnel, and then their one-on-one service packages at the bottom, with nothing in between. I made this mistake myself. It’s important to have offerings at each level of your marketing funnel so people can continue to get to know, like and trust you, as well as get to know, like and trust your products and services.

Implementing the Marketing & Product Funnel system is easy. Get started by attracting prospects into your funnel. Create a freebie offering (an ezine, mini ecourse, ebook, report, guide, checklist, etc.) and put a sign-up form ‘above the fold’ and prominently on your website. And add a link to your freebie offering in your email signature as well.

Once you have prospects in your funnel, find ways to give them more valuable content at increasingly higher prices as they go through the funnel.

For example, the second level of your funnel might offer an ebook for $27 or an ecourse for $39. The third level might have a home study course for $147 or a series of teleseminars for $77 each. The fourth level might offer a boot camp for $347, and the fifth level might offer your one-on-one services for $500.

Get the picture? By the way, when you offer your products and services at different price points, you are lowering the financial and emotional risk for your prospects. You are essentially making it impossible for them not to buy from you!

What are Important Factors to Online Success Is List Building?

One of the most important factors to online success is list building. No matter what goals you’re pursuing with your online activities, building a good healthy contact list is vital for a successful outcome. List building plays a major role in developing good relationships with your site’s customers, clients and visitors. It can be used to get more traffic, leads and sales for your site or business. For these reasons contact building should be high on your list of priorities when you’re marketing or promoting on the web. Fortunately, list building is an easy process that any site or webmaster can quickly set-up as long as you understand two simple, yet well-proven principles of list building. To be really successful, your list building must incorporate these two key elements. Without these two main ingredients you will probably find building your contact list difficult and slow going. So it is worth your while to fully understand and utilize these two factors in your list building. Any list should have these two key elements: 1. Value – It should offer important information, quality content, special deals/discounts, and more importantly, it should offer a valuable relationship or connection to an expert in the subject area of the list. Subscribers join a list for the benefits it will bring them, whether it is valuable content, special deals or a connection to an expert in their area of interest; your list must have value for the subscribers.

If you’re building a list, just write down all the benefits someone would receive from joining your site or list. – receive important information – get special valuable content – receive special deals/discounts – get training videos/workshops – get timely announcements or news Make these benefits your main selling points when you’re building your list. Don’t forget there may also be a psychological reason for joining your list – many people like being part of a group or membership site. For more detail go to: www.autoresponders-unlimited.com. Its human nature, we all want to be emotionally involved with certain topics or causes, so don’t ignore this aspect when building your list. Everybody likes to feel included – lists can fulfill this emotional need. Simply give your subscribers something of value and you will build your list quickly and easily. 2. Free whatever you offer – make sure it is Free. The quickest way to build any list is to give away free valuable content, information, videos, reports, e-books, discounts, prizes… everybody loves a free gift. Just make them an offer they can’t refuse. Some marketers argue that giving away free items will attract the “wrong kind” of customer or subscriber – people that will never buy anything because they will expect it to be free. But this has more to do with the nature of your gift and the kind of contacts you’re building – giving away free buying guides on how to purchase real estate, fast cars, LCD TVs, laptops… will definitely attract the right “buying customer”. If you’re into selling, you just have to adjust your marketing to incorporate the free element correctly. Besides, giving away something free is the first step in starting an ongoing relationship with your subscribers. It gets the ball rolling.

Super-Affiliate’s! What Are They… How Do I Find Them and Why They’re Your… TICKET To Online Success!

Super-Affiliate’s!

What are they?

Do you see this term often online and end up confused to what it means and the purpose they serve online?

It sounded really mysterious to me when I first came across the term which peeked my curiosity and led me to research the term further to find out exactly what the term meant and more importantly what there roll was in the Internet marketing world.

The information I discovered was Astonishing!

What I’m about to reveal to you in this article will blow your mind and hopefully take away the mystery and answer the questions you once had about what a ‘Super-Affiliate’ is and why they ARE your…

…”Ticket To Online Success!”

Let’s first take away the mystery behind what a ‘Super-Affiliate’ is so that you’ll have a clear picture inside your head of how they’ll benefit your online business for years to come.

A ‘Super-Affiliate’ is simply either or both a High Traffic website and/or a eZine/Newsletter owner with a HUGE targeted opt-in mailing list that are able to sell more in a given day then you could in a month.

As you will learn, the internet is nothing more then a numbers game and the super-affiliate’s are simply the one’s who have already put in the time and have the highest numbers when it comes to ‘Website Traffic’ and targeted ‘Opt-In’ mailing lists.

Are you starting to see the BIG picture yet?

Now, lets move on and break this down a little with some rough numbers so you’ll be able to have better idea of what to look for when it comes to locating an ‘Super-Affiliate’ via search engines and/or eZine/Newsletter directories.

Let’s first start with the Search Engines.

When your searching the web for super-affiliate’s with high traffic website’s this is the general guide line I use to gauge there importance.

But, in order for me to do a proper traffic analysis of there website I need to use a special webmaster toolbar offered through Alexa.com.

This toolbar is essential and a must have when it comes to locating super-affiliate’s and the reason why is because it reveals the ‘Traffic Ranking’ for that particular website you are viewing making it easier for you to tell the difference between the super-affiliate’s and the other website’s that are just getting by.

Here’s the link to where you can download your own free Alexa toolbar if you choose:

Now… for the numbers.

When I’m searching for an super-affiliate related to my Product, Service and/or any of the affiliate programs I am promoting via the search engines and I happen to come across a website that has a traffic ranking of 50,000 or lower using the Alexa toolbar to gauge the TR then these are the website’s where the super-affiliate’s reside and are the one’s I will want to contact with a business proposition.

As a general rule using website analysis, the lower the TR, the BETTER.

Why?

Because it means that particular website is receiving Lots… and Lots of traffic which is just what you’re looking for.

Now… that’s the general idea behind locating super-affiliate’s through website analysis and the search engines.

This next part I’m going to show you where to locate the super-affiliate’s with HUGE targeted mailing lists.

This is where you stand to benefit the most and could in turn make a substantial amount of money within the next 24 hours of your business proposition if accepted by the list owner.

The best places to locate an ‘Super-Affiliate’ with a HUGE mailing list are through eZine/Newsletter directories. I’ve listed a few of the Top directories below to save you the hassle of having to search for them yourself.

  • Ezine Universehttp://www.ezine-universe.com

  • Ezine Hubhttp://www.ezinehub.com

  • Go-Ezineshttp://www.go-ezines.com

  • Netter Webhttp://www.netterweb.com

  • Ezine Searchhttp://www.ezinesearch.com

These directories databases are searchable and are full of thousands of ezine/newsletters with list sizes that range from 1000 subscribers to 250,000 subscribers and up.

It’s pretty easy to figure out who the super-affiliate’s are going to be here.

The Bigger the list size, the BETTER.

But… as a general rule I would have to say that any ezine/newsletter owner with a list size of 75,000 or more subscribers I would consider an ‘Super-Affiliate’.

Remember, this is just a general guide line.

Don’t discard the list owners with smaller lists. The more eZine/Newsletter owners you contact the greater your chances are of SUCCESS!

Now that you know what a super-affiliate is and how to find them Both on the Web and through ezine/newsletter directories your probably wondering how…

… “They’re Your TICKET To Online Success!”

Well, its actually quite simple.

If you own your own Product and/or offer a Service, and this will even work if your an affiliate to someone else’s program, all you have to do is simply locate and approach related website and/or ezine/newsletter owners with a JV(Joint Venture) and/or business proposition offering them a reasonable share(percentage) of the profits if they were to accept your business proposal.

That’s It!

And the best part about this approach is that you don’t even have to spend a penny on advertising and the traffic you’ll receive will be ‘Laser Targeted’ making your chances of SUCCESS that much Greater.

I really hope this article opened your eye’s up and cleared up any unanswered questions you once had about what a ‘Super-Affiliate’ was, what there roll is in the Internet marketing world and more importantly… How you can locate them via the Web.

Your Secret Weapon to Online Success

What is holding YOU back from online success?

Have you started with one plan, method, ebook, guru, or website online and jumped to another before you finished the first? Always looking for that special trick or information that will jumpstart your success online?

Stop! You are not going anywhere that way but in circles! You will spend time and money and end up in information overload and frustration. You need to focus. Plan your work and work your plan until you have that plan completely finished. This is, however, much easier said than done. I have found a secret weapon to maintaining my focus long enough to see a project through without getting sidetracked by discouragement or the next new thing.

My secret weapon to online success is simple. Find a partner. A buddy. Someone who is as committed as you are to making money from home. You don’t have to BE a partner in the sense of going into business together. What you need is someone to help you stay focused. To lift you up when you get discouraged. To cheer each small success and accomplishment and to help bring perspective to the failures and setbacks.

The right kind of partner can do this for you and you can return the favor and help them as well. The best place to find this person is online. Few people already have a friend that will be able to help them in this way because it takes someone who is also working on a business online to understand. If your partner is also working online, they will be more likely to be there when you need them whether you communicate by email or instant messaging. They will also understand the environment that you are working in.

Join some lists and forums that address the type of online business that you are interested in. Begin reading the posts and participating in discussions. Eventually, you will connect with someone. This may take a while. Obviously, you have to be cautious when developing relationships online. You want someone who is a positive, helpful and giving person. You can usually tell that by the way that someone posts to a list or forum. Be the kind of person you want to attract and sooner or later, it will happen.

Once you connect with someone who may be a good partner, let the relationship develop over time. It isn’t something you can make happen. If you are out there participating and helping other people, it will come back to you, but you have to be patient. In the meantime, you will find a list or a forum that is helpful and this is almost as good as a partner.

You may have to connect with a number of people before the right partner emerges. Timing is everything. A person that seems too busy one day may come back weeks later and want to work with you. You may develop several partners who each help with different areas of your online business. Remember that while the purpose is to help you stay focused and on track, you will gain valuable input, feedback, suggestions and information in the process.

The secret to success online is staying focused and nothing will help you stay focused like the right online business success partner!
